ZiMUN 2018

OVERCOMING CONFLICT: MARCH 8 – 11, 2018

ZiMUN is a three-day high school MUN conference offering delegates the opportunity for rich debate and problem-solving with the addition of a framework of break-out sessions and events led by internationally-celebrated musicians, ethical entrepreneurs, experts in medicine, business and policy-making.

ZiMUN 2018 explores the theme: ‘Overcoming Conflict’, examining the relationship between African nations and their counterparts around the world. ZiMUN’s goal is for participants to understand the power they have to reduce conflict and promote peace; through diplomacy, education and citizenship.

The conference works within five committees: General Assembly, Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Security Council, Environment Commission and the Human Rights Commission.

Model United Nations prepares the leaders of tomorrow to be sensitive and innovative in the solutions they provide. The Secretariat is working to bring timely topics to committees, and these will be posted under the committees tab as they are published.

Delegate positions are somewhat limited and the deadline for initial registration is December 15, 2017.
